Kim's Family Restaurant

This authentic korean restaurant is one of the most anticipated restaurants for me.
Really wanted to try this for AGES.

There are actually 2 sections here.
My friends and I stepped into the 'less crowded and busy' one though.
No worries about communication breakdown, there are local staff around and the koreans do know some english.

Check out the grafitti inside the restaurant!
And scribble away! :)

An array of 13 "BANCHANS"!
All refillable upon request!

The downside is that the bean sprouts are not the huge juicy ones that most korean places have. And I'd really prefer my kimchi to be more sour, the taste of the kimchi didn't kick in immediately.

Spicy beancurd stew!

I always have something for stews! Absolutely satisfying when I slurped this hot and spicy soup with the soft beancurd!

Be careful to order carefully as their pics on stews/steamboats look very alike!
There was some confusion when we were ordering, so in order not to mix up stew/steamboat, look at the pricings!

Kimchi pancakes!

This is absolutely my fave! Generous portions of kimchi in the pancakes!

BBQ chicken on hot plate!

Comes sizzling hot on a plate, it goes really well with rice!
Plus there was vermicelli inside!! I LOVE THIS COMBI!

Fried octopus rice.

I'd go for bibimbap anyday.. there was just too much of the sweet spicy sauce. And I couldn't taste much of the rest of it.

On top of everything, our bill comes up to around $60.
It's really affordable considering that you get 13 arrays of side dishes!
Definitely worth my next trip!
