Su Korean Cuisine

Went to this restaurant with JX during our shopping date in January 2011.
We're both korean food lovers so we decided to step in this small restaurant in Far East plaza.

The everything-taste-so-good side dishes!
Do note that they have different side dishes everyday.
But I guess kimchi will always be present, it's not korean without kimchi!

Bibimbap

This is second to Arirang's Bibimbap!! Fragrantttt and satisfying!
You will go back for more!

You need tofu kimchi soup to complete your meal!

My favourite spicy rice cakes! Ddukbokki!!!!

There are so many rice cakes in a sitting that I had a really hard time finishing this up with xuan.

Lovely spread

Though the food fare is good but I consider this place a lil on the pricier side.
Probably because we ordered a little too much for 2.
Best to go with a group of friends!

Sun with Moon

After the dinner at Pasta Brava, we girls headed to Sun with Moon at Wheelock Place.

I've heard so much about the classic tofu cheesecake, totally hiding my excitement inside while waiting for the cheesecake! :)

Blueberry Tofu Cheesecake!

See how interesting it was presented!!

Silky, smooth, sweet... totally mesmerizing.

Chocolate crepes cake.

I'm no choco fan but I like this!

Green tea sponge cake.

This cake is light and creamy.. smooth. That's why you don't get sick of this creamy spongy cake!

Fruit tart!

I love the crust of the fruit tart.

Do try the tofu cheesecake if you ever pass by wheelock!
It's their speciality.

Pasta Brava - My first squid ink experience

Hey people!

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
People have been asking me to update this food blog!
I shan't wait any longer!

First of all, this first entry for 2011.
I'd been wanting to try squid ink pasta for the longest time!
The perfect opportunity came for surprising kie yin! :)
She knew I wanted to try it and recommanded me Pasta Brava.
Little did she know that the rest of the girls will be there too!

Hence, without further ado... here comes the pictures!
(sorry for the bad pictures, again.)

Squid Ink Pasta!

The waiter also provided an apron, telling me "the only way to remove the stain on your dress, is to snip that part away". How shocking! And I remember XL totally telling me to deshell my prawns carefully so that my prawns don't fly about!
Anyway, the squid ink pasta tasted much like seafood pasta, it has a very faint sour taste but it's simply TASTY and I can't really explain the taste very well. It's just GOOOOOODDD.

I forgot what's this.

I don't remember much about this dish but the food at Pasta Brava are all relatively good.

Lamb shank.

The lamb shank is juicy and tender! Even though it has a strong lamb aftertaste, surprisingly I could still take it relatively well! I'd really recommand this lamb shank to all lamb meat lovers!

The sides:
Portbello Mushrooms

Calamari

I didn't take a picture of the breads with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
The french loaf is served warm and it's super chewy and soft!!
It's unlike many restaurants which have tough and hard to chew french loaves.

A very happy me with squid ink pasta! :)

However, the ambience here is such that, you'll always be surrounded by angmohs and the rich. Not exactly something I like.
