Madeleine's Egg Tarts & Puffs

Guidan recommended this to me after knowing I'm gonna pass by Tanjong Katong Road.
Their specialty is of course, original macau portugese egg tarts - as they have claimed.

Delicious hot and crispy egg tarts with really soft and warm fillings!

One is not enough, you'd go back for more!
Sold in a box of 6 or 12.
Also sold in 2 flavours - original or pandan

Bruno's Pizzeria & Grill

I've decided to step into this restaurant purely based on the good reviews on the mushroom ravioli. In my 22 years, I've never eaten ravioli or escargots, but I really wanted to try ravioli.

Note that there is only one chef working in this restaurant, so you may need to wait for some time for your meals but then be really assured about the QUALITY.

I didn't get a seat with good lighting therefore some of the pictures didn't turn out as good as they should be.

Bruno's!! It looks just like any Italian café. It's smacked in the middle of Tanjong Katong Road.

A bad picture of the interior! As you can see, it's a little blur.

Appetizers (with balsamic vinegar and olive oil as dip)
The breads were served warm that were crispy outside and moist inside.
Seriously I could eat it plain, just like this.

The escargots. This is my first time eating escargots, so I cannot say much. They were tad salty which I thought it might be the seasoning but my date for the day mentioned that those are not the best that she has had. But this had tasted much better than I'd expected, especially when I'm a first-timer when it comes to SNAILS. In case you are curious to know, they were chewy.

Linguine Al Granchio - Linguine with crabmeat in tomato and cream sauce(pink sauce) with basil
The goodness of the crab meat was TOTALLY infused with the linguine. There is NO WAY you would not be able to tell that this is a CRABMEAT pasta. I was very satisfied eating this because the amount of crabmeat given was really generous. I must emphasize this dish because it is really soooo good.

Ravioli Al Funghi Porcini Creama - Stuffed pasta with mushroom in cream sauce with white truffle oil
If you think nothing much of this plain-looking dish, you would be surprised by its strong taste. The ravioli is like an asian version of dumplings that are stuffed with mushrooms instead of the usual meat like pork. On the first taste, everything's great but as time goes on.. you might really get sick of the creamy and strong taste. Taking it slow is my advice.

How one piece of ravioli looks like.

I really like how the chef came out personally to ask how the dishes were.
A plus point: the chef is cute.

Enjoy your meal, Bon Appétit!

Fosters @ Holland V

Ever tried salad with salty fish? This is it!

Star of the day: Devonshire Cream tea set. ($10.60)
I don't have to explain! Scones with jam and cream makes my afternoon :)

I forgot to take a picture of my not so regular peach tea.
Definitely not out of a can so it tasted different but good!

Fosters has a cosy ambience thanks to its wonderful interior, christmas-y decor with their mock fireplace! I almost felt like it was winter with the warm fireplace.

I've only got a nice picture of the 'balcony' area.
The interior pics have my friends' unglam faces... so I'm not gonna upload 'em.

I'd recommend Fosters for a good chill out. With delectable scones and cosy ambience, it's all worth the money!

Hello hello.

I've decided to create a food blog after deciding not to flood facebook with all the food pictures. :)
